The old oak staircase leads up to the three beautifully decorated and designed bedrooms, with fabulous designer fabrics (Zoffany, Osborne and Little, GP & J Baker), sumptuously comfortable beds to ensure a blissful nights’ sleep (Vi-Spring etc), and luxurious bed linen and towels. One king-sized bedroom with carved oak bed and antique oak furniture, one twin-bedded room with Hypnos beds which can be linked to make a very comfortable 6′ wide bed on request.
The conservatory has stunning views of the mountains and surrounding countryside; and is a very special place, utterly peaceful and private with glorious views, lovely relaxing atmosphere and very comfortable sofas.
For eating outside there is a terrace with table and chairs and parasol for shade, a charcoal barbeque and, of course, wonderful mountain views. The large garden is fully fenced for children to play in (with parental supervision) and has a background of mature trees against the magnificent mountain scenery. The popular, fun game of ‘Swing Ball’ is set up in the garden. There are lovely walks straight from the door; down to the river for a gentle stroll, or for a more challenging walk, up onto the high fells.
